2023-2024 | Biblioteca Mariano Moreno National Library |
Buenos Aires, Argentina.
In this exhibition, the National Library proposes a journey through the drifts of surrealism in Argentina based on books and magazines that are part of the institution’s collection and the contribution of private collections. On display are works by Juan Batlle Planas, Juan Andralis and Miguel Ángel Bustos, some of which have never before been exhibited to the public, and a series of letters and personal documents that shed light on the reflective and programmatic threads that wove the link between the main referents of the Argentine surrealist group. They have included works by poets and writers such as Aldo Pellegrini, Enrique Molina, Olga Orozco, Julio Llinás, Miguel Ángel Bustos, Oliverio Girondo, Juan Antonio Vasco, Francisco Madariaga, Juan José Ceselli, Carlos Latorre, Celia Gourinsky, María Meleak Vivanco.
Curators of the exhibition Mauro Haddad and Candela Perichon.
