Throughout his career, Juan Batlle Planas gathered in several Rivadavia* folders studies and sketches of his works, which are now part of the Silvia Batlle Collection.
Dating from 1950 onwards, they bear witness to the different ways in which he approached the creation of his works: automatism, point vectors, paranoid-critical method, research on Gestalt psychology.
Previous studies and sketches appear in the body of his artistic production.
*Rivadavia folders refer to an Argentinean national hero; together with their respective lined sheets they were used at high school level for the notes and assignments on the different subjects of the curriculum.
