Alejandra Pizarnik

2022-2023 | Between the Image and the Word | Mariano Moreno National Library.

Fifty years after her death, the exhibition explores the documents that reveal her creative mechanisms. It includes books marked by the author, drawings and collages of her own making and works by other artists. The material on display encompasses, in addition to books from Pizarnik’s library belonging to the National Library, reproductions of the drawings and collages kept by Princeton University, originals she gave to Ivonne Bordelois and Graciela Maturo, and works by Juan Batlle Planas, who was her teacher. Evelyn Galiazo, Director of Research at the National Library, was the curator of the exhibition.
